« He is a decent sort. He’s still a bit green and he did not jump so well at the gates. He worked quite well. He did a nice job but the ground helped him a bit. He looked nice on the day. They went quite quick and he struggled a little bit around the last turn but I was always confident he was going to find his way. I think he is a tough individual.  Turning around the bend at the 300m, I knew I was going to win. I had a little fright when I saw Mighty Fine in front of us. When we got in the straight, I just had to dig in a little bit more. He stuck his neck out and got there.»
« I was a little bit worried about the distance but overall we were confident. It worked up nicely for him. He actually strolled around the first bend and past the winning post for the first time. The pace accelerated down the back straight and I was quite happy as he got organized and relaxed. He fell into a lovely position. I was looking for Georgean Boy near the end  because he’s not a bad horse. We kicked clear but we did not want him to be flying by us at the winning post. I was just a matter of being a little bit cautious and making sure Tube Wave did his job.»
«With the level of weights, we should win the Barbe»
«He had a top run for his first outing this year. They went very fast and I knew my horse would finish very sharp as we crossed the road. It was also a big performance from Albert Mooney. Hopefully with the level weights, we should win the Barbe», a-t-il soutenu.
«I t was a very nice performance from Dust In The Wind. The draw probably got me stuck wide on the first turn but it was a beautiful performance from a nice horse for the future. He will get longer trips, he is a young horse. The uphill takes some time to get used to but he will improve. »
« Piquet ran a cracking race. When the gates opened, he was popping back at me instead of going forward. It cost me to get to the railing. He’s usually tough out of the gates and he was getting a bit anxious in there today. Considering this, he ran a very good race. »
«He was quite disappointing. He got a nice run around and he had no excuses. I was expecting a big run from him. He travelled nicely but did not get involved in the last 200 metres», s’est dit un Robbie Burke bien déçu.
« With a little bit more experience, we’ll have some fun with him. He was on and off and did not give me the greatest of rides. Hopefully we’ll see him in good form in the future. »
« I wanted to go on the inside in the straight and just had to switch lane and probably lost the momentum. I’m a little bit annoyed with myself for doing that. It was a very competitive race and our horse ran well. I felt he could have been a bit closer if I had taken the outside option. »
« I did not get the greatest run around on Wind Power. I got shuffled back and the horse to beat got the run outside of speed. I thought Maverick would have got closer to the front. I would have loved to be in front and if I had been drawn inside Mr Perdrau’s horse, my ride would have had a better chance.»
