From the peak of Grand Bassin
winding steeply down
through bosky roadsides
then along gravelly tracks
past palm and pond you are there,
at the paradise of the tea taster,
perfused with the aromas
of tea leaves, for the many years
in profusion on this enchanted earth.
In between the savouring, breath
to catch (and lose!), is the sweeping,
rolling vista, on a fine day stretching
to the scintillating southern sea-
so it is not just the tea!
