She

She enters the room, what do they see ? They see a woman, a woman belonging to a particular community. She does not leave any room for guessing there, as her way of dressing says it all. They already suppose things about her based on what she looks like, what she wears. They suppose things about the kind of family she comes from, the type of upbringing she has had. A glance at her wedding finger to get an idea of her marital status. Again, supposition. If she's married, they suppose on the kind of marriage she made, if not, they suppose again on why she's not married yet.
With a prejudiced image, not necessarily bad, they come and talk to her. Lo and behold ! She does not ascribe to what they have been supposing so far. She knows her stuff, she has opinions, she has ideas, would you believe it, she even has a sense of humour ! She surprises them. She knows it ; she feels it in the subtle change in their attitudes. By now, she is so used to that : people conciliating the initial image they had of her and who she really is.
Should it be that hard ? She is weary sometimes that she has to prove herself but she is working hard on it. By now, she has a pretty strong idea of who she is. She is realising and imbibing into her self worth. She thinks of The One who is pushing her to go beyond all borders, to defy all limits, she feels the strength of that force filling her up.
In a future not so far away, she will stop trying. She will let them suppose whatever they want, but that will be when she will be fully self-confident and will not be in need of acceptance from others to prove herself in her own eyes. Until then, she wishes that they would stop supposing and start approaching her and others like her with a clean slate and a clear attitude. The world would be such a better place then.

That's the price you pay when you live in foreign countries. Similarly other Shes who migrate to the Middle-East have to face lewd remarks and try to make the people around especially the males not to judge them on what they wear
You know what I mean, you are not the only one in this case, other Shes if they are believers also pray the One above to help enlighten the obscure minds who judge them on appearances.

The context is actually local, but yes, easily applicable in a foreign setting as well. Goes to show that certain attitudes transcend borders and are so ingrained in human nature, irrespective of location.
