Ravin Ramful, représentant du conseil du village de Grand-Sable et Petit-Sable, est las d’attirer l’attention des autorités sur la fourniture irrégulière d’eau dans la région. « Nous avions écrit plusieurs fois à la Central Water Authority pour leur demander de trouver une solution à ce problème. Mais en vain. Nous lançons un appel à Joe Lesjongard, ministre de l’Énergie. »
Dans une lettre adressée aux autorités compétentes, le conseiller Ravina Ramful écrit : « Several complaints have been registered to the nearby CWA offices but they cannot find a solution for this problem. »
Et dans une lettre au directeur général de la CWA que signent plusieurs habitants de la région, le conseiller Ramful note : « Some officiers who came for a visit even stated to inhabitants that those living on higher grounds won’t be given water through normal pipe but rather shall be provided with a tanker as there is a problem of pressure. We did consider this suggestion. However, we have to bombard the 170 hotline with numerous calls or take the help of the PPS of the region to be able to get tankers. The Caroline Office is never able to take our calls and if taken, the tanker is not sent the same day and in some cases the tanker is never sent. Is it how CWA provides its equitable service ? »
