Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026 : National Final Concludes with Excellent Outcomes

Twelve students from three Universities namely University of Mauritius, Middlesex University, and African Leadership College of Higher Education, and two TVET institutions namely Polytechnics Mauritius and Mauritius Institute of Talent and Development, have been shortlisted for the regional final of Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026. The Huawei ICT Competition has been officially launched on the 4th September 2025 in Mauritius.

February 10, 2026 at Huawei Tower Mauritius, Ebene – Huawei today officially launched the National Final of the Huawei AI Innovation Competition 2025-2026. The Instructors’ Summit was held with the participation of Deans of faculty, Heads of School, Industry Professionals, instructors and students.
This event brought together two essential pillars of Huawei’s academic ecosystem: educators and learners. It reflects a shared commitment to quality education, innovation, and the continuous development of skills that respond to today’s challenges.
“The decision to host these two events together highlights a key principle: innovation thrives through collaboration. It is through shared knowledge, mentorship, and engagement that meaningful and sustainable innovation takes place.” Shaffeeq Eydatoulah, Director of Delivery & Services Huawei Mauritius.

The summit provides a global platform to exchange ideas and experiences, and to reflect on how stronger collaboration between academia and industry can be achieved, ensuring that education remains relevant, practical, and aligned with current industry needs.
