One of the ironies of human behavior is that, more often than not, we tend to forget the very seed that has given birth to the imposing and productive tree. Why ? Because the said seed had first broken up and then melted away forever in the soil-before giving rise to a small plant which then went on to develop into that huge fruitful and beautiful tree.
Whilst looking at Mare-aux-Vacoas reservoir, how many do remember all the rivers and other rivulets which constantly feed it with life-support water ?
And last, whilst admiring a building, how many happen to think of the basic foundation that supports it ?
And yet without the said seed, the rivers and the solid layer of cement and stones-nothing would have emerged from the bare earth.
