La deuxième session de remise des médailles par la présidente de la République p.i Monique Ohsan-Bellepeau s’est déroulée hier à la State House en présence du Premier ministre Navin Ramgoolam.
Les quatre nouvelles personnalités à obtenir la médaille de GOSK (Grand Officer of the Order of the Star and key of the Indian Ocean) sont Rundheersing Bheenick, Azad Dhomun, Robert Konfortion et Siven Poinoosamy. Soulignons que le gouverneur de la Bank of Mauritius (BoM) Bheenick étant en mission à l’étranger, c’est son épouse Premawtee qui l’a représenté.
Zeenat Aumeerally, Dhanjay Jhurry, Phagoony Ramrekha ont obtenu la médaille de CSK (Commander of the order of the star and key of the Indian Ocean). Vijaye Kumar Beeharry, Arnaud Carpooran, Swabir Goodur, Sutiawan Gunessee et Louis (Mario) Christian Hung Wai Wing ont de leur côté reçu la médaille d’OSK (Officer of the order of the star and key of the Indian Ocean).
Huit personnalités ont eu le titre de MSK (member of the order of the star and key of the Indian Ocean), soit Mahmade Rafick Elahee, Ruby Fogli, Ramdass Gooriah, Jaynarain Narain, Mayputh Mewah, Pouspajee Narroo, Paul Olsen et Sooraya Begum Rostom. La President’s Medal a été remise à une dizaine de personnes.
