Electric Airplanes And Sustainable Farming

In fifty years, my wish is for Mauritius to become a very famous and modern country like England and France. I wish that our country be more connected to the world and that this be done through airplanes that use electricity instead of diesel. I wish that sustainable farming   be practised by all farmers as it is a technique that involves only the use of natural resources like compost. I wish that our seasides and riversides be free from wastes. I suggest that people who are going to spend time there write down their names in an office found nearby and that if they are found guilty of pollution they will have to clean the place themselves. Finally I wish that people plant many trees, flowers, vegetables and fruits in both our villages and towns.

Harsh Hurrhungee (Grade 6) :

For children to play without any fear

I wish to see Mauritius with more trees and flowers because trees provide us with fruits, shade and oxygen. I want to see more wealthy people so that there are no beggars and everybody to live and eat in good conditions ; to see every child going to school and not playing on the streets, not taking drugs or picking up any other bad habits. I hope to see all people living happily in their homes. I would like my country to become safer so that children can play without any fear and thus they can go anywhere without any worries.

Ilona Jean Pierre (GRADE 5 ):

Daanen MUDALLI (GRADE 6) :

Yudhveer dHOOWOoAh (Grade 5)

If I become Prime Minister

If I become Prime Minister of Mauritius, I will make the country cleaner by putting more dustbins along the streets. I will create parks and gardens for people to get pure air and  also build more hospitals. People would then not have to wait for long to get treatment. There would be more children going to school. If I become Prime Minister I will install cameras in many places to discourage people from committing crimes. I will also take measures to prevent flood. In this way Mauritius will become a better place to live.

Jaanavee Angelina Mudalli (GRADE 5) :

We can call it the Dodoland

I wish for our island “MAURITIUS” to have a huge leisure park. The leisure park will have attractions for adults and children of all ages. It will be appropriate to have the Dodo as the main theme like Mickey in DISNEYLAND as this will remind the world of the most popular extinct bird of Mauritius. We can call it the Dodoland. It will attract many tourists. Mauritians will have a very interesting place where they can enjoy their leisure time with their family and friends. It can also have attractions like in DISNEYLAND. The attraction will be good for Mauritius both socially and economically.

We are a miracle of God

In the beginning, God created the universe. It was spectacular in every way. One of His miracle is our beloved country Mauritius. There are trees and sugar cane fields to beautify our environment. Multi-coloured birds like the Mauritian Kestrel, Pink Pigeon and other animals fill the land with their cries and songs of delight and colourful fishes live in the sea. However, for how long are we going to enjoy this rich environment? My ultimate wish for my country is to protect our precious flora and fauna.

Kanden CAROOPPUNNEN (GRADE 5) :

Shubham BUDDHOO (GRADE 6) :
