TRIPARTITE SENSITISATION WORKSHOP—CALLICHURN: « Privilégier le dialogue social »

Un atelier de deux jours sur le tripartisme et le dialogue social se tient depuis ce matin au Maritim Hotel, Balaclava. Il a pour but de souligner l’importance d’une bonne entente entre le patronat, le syndicat, le gouvernement pour l’avancement du pays tant sur le plan économique que sur celui des relations industrielles.
Présent ce matin, Soodesh Callichurn, ministre du Travail, a souligné : « Social dialogue and tripartite cooperation between public authorities and social partners are increasingly attracting the attention of the ILO member states, as well as that of industrial relations practitioners and political economy experts. In the context of a persistent economic and job crisis and acceleration of change and reforms, they are viewed as tools of sound governance of the labour market and effective instruments for promoting crisis recovery and facilitating adaptation to change. »
Ce séminaire se veut interactif et à la fin, les syndicats et les participants seront appelés à avoir un franc débat et proposer des solutions concrètes aux problèmes identifiés. L’autre axe sera de présenter un plan de travail qui spécifiera les actions qui devront être prises et finalement développer une structure pour gérer l’implémentation du Decent Work Country Programme de Maurice. Il s’agira également d’identifier les défis portant sur le dialogue social, les stratégies pour renforcer le dialogue et permettre au National Tripartite Forum d’avoir sa place et de proposer des solutions. Soodesh Callichurn devait également souligner que « Social Dialogue and Tripartism constitute the main ILO governance paradigm for promoting social justice, fair and peaceful workplace relations and decent work. Tripartism is indeed one of the main forms of Social Dialogue. It is a foundational principle and fundamental value of the ILO that is at the very heart of the organisation’s work. Tripartism can be defined as the interaction of Government, employers and workers as equal and independent partners to seek solutions to issues of common concern. »
