Gulshan Roy’s Sigurd and the Magic Runestone or revolution in a familiar village

I hope Mr Gulshan Roy will find it in himself to forgive my politically insolent reading of his book Sigurd and the Magic Runestone. But he will probably concede that the author is dead, in general. Sigurd is a gem of a book for children, cheekily illustrated by Deven T, contributing to the genre of Mauritian children’s literature in English.
