In the Name of Allah, Ever Gracious, Ever Merciful

Eid-ul-Fitr has come, O Muslims, after days of sacrifice in the blessed month of Ramadan to grace our lives with such a moment of joy which must pervade our lives, not just outwardly but inwardly as well.

Our joy dear brothers and sisters should remain forever that God Almighty, our Mighty Creator Whom we have strived to attain to in the blessed month of Ramadan.

Amid the dangers which the humankind is facing today, amid the rivers of blood, corruption, the rise of never-seen-before viruses and other deadly maladies, let us all pray as one body for the safeguard of truth over falsehood, of life over death.

The world is caught in such a vicious whirlpool that we have to struggle and join hands, not just all Muslims, but all mankind for the survival of the human race. If the world is devoured by the wolves of this world, it is our duty to rise for justice, but we should always do it in a most civilised and respectful way, which reflects true submission to that Beautiful Lord Who taught us the best manners by making us humans and sending to us His prophets and holy scriptures to follow the right guidance and to remain pure from the afflictions of the Satan [or one may say Lucifer, Demon, Iblis, Rakshasa], i.e., the Evil Personified.

If we succeed in overcoming our ego, a training which the sacred month of Ramadan had come to teach us, we will win half the battle because Satan resides in the ego which then spans into arrogance, thirst for money and power, having a sense of superiority and the constant need to hanker over the goods of this world.

We, humans forget the Spiritual Us, that we are way beyond the body of clay and water, way beyond the passions which never cease to misguide us towards the wrong path.

Ramadan came as a training for us all Muslims, and also as an invitation for humankind also to join in that great spiritual striving to attain to peace within oneself. And when one is at peace, this peace is spread to his or her family, and ultimately to our whole society. The problem in our times is that we have lost touch with our spirituality. Be you Muslim, Hindu, Tamil, Telegu, Christian, etc., all have forgone the real teachings of goodness of your respective prophets, avatars, and rishis. Many have lost touch with the divine within themselves, and thus God Almighty no more remains within the temples, churches and mosques of your hearts. The mosque of God Almighty should be clean, pure. Pure thinking is hard to achieve, but not impossible. The problem is that people have stopped trying, have lost faith in a blessed tomorrow.

So, my message of Eid-ul-Fitr for all of you Muslims [and also for whole mankind] is that you all should wake up from your long sleep and never let go of the blessings which you strived to accumulate in the blessed month of fasting [in all your good deeds and thoughts for the welfare of the human race]. Prayer and faith in God Almighty should propel each one of you to action in helping humanity in every means and ways that you can, be it through your own selves, your money, and your time to teach others good values.

Let the true spirit of Eid reflect in your everyday lives as a perpetual Eid, holding firm your truth in God Almighty and never losing patience and to keep on going in life with positive thinking which in turn will make you reap the pleasure of that Creator Whom you seek to please.

If the world comes to a standstill, be the active agent to make it go forward with the blessings of God Almighty, for all power resides in Him Who listen to our humble prayers, and Who helps those Who recognise Him and call out to Him for help. Let us never forget Him and pray to Him and keep faith in His Decrees, come what may! EID-UL-FITR MUBARAK!
