LAVAL LEONG SON (CBC) : « Keeping the economic activity flowing »

The Government has in this Budget sought to implement budgetary measures to cater for the future as well as keeping the economic activity flowing. Huge effort has been made by the Government in the Education sector to enhance the intellectual capabilities of the population, one of our most important resources, that is our human resources. A lot will be done also in the health sector where improvements has already started. There are very large opportunities for Mauritians in doing business with Africa. The measures concerning subsidization of freight charges, the development of services by feeder vessels to the African region and the organization of road shows to promote our products and services are welcomed. Moreover, the construction and public infrastructure sectors have also seen massive injection of funds in an effort to boost the Mauritius economy in the medium and long term.
