My Freedom to Voice Out

Why, does it sound awkward when,
Puffing my chest with good will,
I stand up, adopt a fierce gait
And open my mouth
To roar, just like a raging lioness?

Does it make of me, an object
Meant to be analyzed on all sides,
To be labelled, to be mocked
To be ridiculed, to be judged
To be assessed and to be forced
To Shut Up?
Pray, I am, like the rest of my peers
Even if they be males, thus, bolder
By nature and instinct
And stronger by life’s choice
Yes, I am like the rest, I have, in me
The freedom to voice out!

And that comes with the etiquette
Of being given a due respect
Even if my ideals don’t match anyone’s!

Pray, enough! enough of trampling on my right
Just because I am made of femininity
Remember, women are goddesses,
We hide in us, the hidden power
Which allows a mound of blood
To be immersed with a conscience!

Women are mothers
We simply have to open our wings
And shelter the sons of Earth
To have clouds transforming into rainbows!

Women are the drivers of existence
Without me and my sisters, nothing would be!
From the growling monsters disguised as men
Believing tightly in the tricky power they hold in their grip
To the tenderness of love when it is revealed,
Why, nothing about this world would be!
So, let me be, let me voice out, let me use my right
And let me bloom, let me bear the fruits of my own seeds
Let me flow like a clear canal seeking to meet the ocean
And let me meet it, if such is what I deserve!

My freedom, remains in assuming my own being
And my being remains in voicing out
Whatever I feel!
Of course, my value remains in being respected
As being that which I am!
