Our parents shape our world,
They’re always there,
Making ends meet no matter what,
Shielding us from all odds
Our parents always believe in us,
They praise us when we shine,
They scold us when we go astray,
Guiding us throughout our lives
Our parents sometimes disappoint us,
And we tend to judge them without thinking,
Forgetting the fact that they are human beings too
Forgetting the fact that they will still stand by us
Our parents should always be our pride,
Even when they err, we must learn to forgive
Our parents should always be our priority,
Even when things are hectic, we must check on them
And when they become old and weak,
We should become the parents of our parents,
For caring for one’s parents is akin to loving God,
For one day, they’ll just be stars – seen but unattainable!
