
In common with the many elderly citizens who were unable to join this huge march in Port Louis, one must feel great pride in the élan of solidarity displayed, and in the hope it holds out for democracy in our little republic.
Hopefully, it will become a wake-up call for ALL citizens. It is high time we started some serious discussions among non-partisan thinkers about the reasons for the hijacking of our institutions; and why our country has become subjected to just TWO political dynasties since Independence, and above all what peaceful democratic choices are available to the silent majority to change this impasse.
