« He won a brilliant race. He is feeling very well at the moment and he deserved to get back to the winner’s enclosure as he has shown some consistency in his performances. There is no reason why he should not win again this season. The chip pieces (ndlr: side winkers) did help him indeed as he has a tendency to lay in. He impressed me the way he got out of the gates. It was game over from there. We had a perfect run throughout and everything went according to plans.»
« He gave us a nice race last time out. Forest Shelter was obviously too good on the day. He stepped up from that race very well. Everything went very simple for us. He relaxed beautifully. The pace was very quick and I just let him enjoy the trip. Turning home when I asked him for an effort, he gave me a tremendous acceleration. He is coming up and it augurs well for him.»
«Prince Of Troy can compete with the best»
« He has been working tremendously well before his first race. He is not an easy horse to ride in the morning. The lads did a very good job with him in Floreal. He just confirmed his brilliant win of last time. He relaxed very well in his races now. I did encounter some traffic problems at the 400-300m when Yashin’s horse (ndlr: Al’s Deputy) was switching in and out a little bit. But I always knew I would be there at the finish as the pace was quick and that suited me perfectly. It was a brilliant display from him once again. He was obviously the best horse in the race and it only amounted to him doing the job. I like him a lot you know. He is just an exciting kind of animal to ride. I think if we can keep him in such condition, he definitely can compete with the best.»
« Mr Black Tom ran a good honest race. It was a quick race. It was an outstanding race from a very smart winner. I didn’t expect Eskimo Roll to break that well from barrier 7. I knew he has got a little bit of speed but the way he broke today was phenomenal. »
Man Of His Word adopta sa tactique favorite dans la dernière course mais fut rattrapé à l’entrée de la ligne droite.
« He went around his race quite well but found it quite complicated in the last 200 metres. He ran ok but I think we should go back on the 1000 metres with him », a-t-il trouvé.
« Actually he is a bit awkward in the morning. He hung very badly. It was a very awkward ride. I think we have a little bit of work to do with him. He is still a young horse that has still got to learn his job.»
