SHIRISH NARANG : Hard work pays off, a déclaré Daniel Moor

« We are not below expectations and we are not in a hurry…,» disait-il à qui voulait l’entendre.
« I was telling to everybody that was listening that we had to be patient. Today (last Saturday) was really the first day I was coming to the races confident of riding a winner and that was Wing Man. I was beginning to get worried that my judgement was out if he couldn’t win », nous déclarait Daniel Moor à peine avait-il ramené son premier gagnant mauricien.
Même s’il nous disait que son épouse Lauren (qui l’a rejoint avec ses enfants Jack et Penelope tout récemment) « was more worried of the situation than me, » Moor, en bon horseman, refusait de tomber dans la fatalité. « I’m very confident in my ability, I’m very lucky to have a good stable behind me that are of a good support and very patient. That’s what they needed to be with the quality of horses that we have. But it was good to get a winner today. There was a lot of reports that the track was quite difficult. It is indeed a different course but that’s one of my abilities, I can fly into a course and adapt very quickly. I do a lot of homework, I do a lot of form, I walk the track regularly and that hard work pays off ».
« We ran Cula with a kyneton nose band. We have to deal with this kind of horse. The gear can have a positive effect or a negative one. Again, we need to be patient with the horses ».
« We are aware of our tools. We know exactly where we stand. Finally, it’s a great experience and hopefully I can ride more winners for my owners ».
