Manque d’enseignant : le Mauritius College jette le blâme sur la PSEA

le Mauritius College, qui était pointé du doigt par ses élèves pour manque d’enseignants, a adressé une lettre au Mauricien Ltd par le biais de ses hommes de loi, à travers laquelle la direction du collège impute le problème à la PSEA. Ci-joint la lettre complète du Mauritius College:

Dear Sir,

Re:- Article entitled ‘ Mauritius College:- manque d’enseignants dénonce auprès de la PSEA’

My services have been retained by Mauritius College.

I refer to the article ‘Mauritius College :- manque d’enseignants dénonce auprès de la

PSEA’ that appeared on the online edition of Le Mauricien of 1 October 2021

In reply to the said on line article, I am instructed to inform you that :-

(i) the lack of educators at Mauritius College is the creation of the PSEA as explained hereunder;

(ii) PSEA Is forcing upon Mauritius College to keep an educator who is not qualified to be an educator;

(iii) Mauritius College has advised PSEA that it is not willing to keep the said educator at the expense of other qualified educators and at the expense of its students;

(iv) PSEA has threatened not to pay the salaries of the said qualified educators at the expense of the students and at the expense of the said educators and to the benefit of an unqualified educator who is being paid her salaries;

(v) the said qualified educators have left their employment because of the uncertainty created by PSEA as regards their employment and their salaries;

(vi) PSEA is a going a long way to protect the said unqualified educator by assigning to the said unqualified educator subjects in which the said educator Is not qualified:

(vii) PSEA has informed Mauritius College that until and unless the said unqualified educator is not assigned subjects as directed by the PSEA, Mauritius College is not allowed to recruit qualified educators for the benefit of its students and of the college:

(viii) As a result of the unfair and unreasonable attitude on the part of the PSEA, the students at Mauritius College are left without qualified educators;

(ix) PSEA is purposely and willingly acting against the interests of the students of Mauritius College and of the Interests of Mauritius College In order to protect the said unqualified educator;

(x) the students of the Mauritius College and their parents have petitioned the PSEA about the aforesaid state of affairs, but to no avail; and

(xi) as at date, Mauritius College has not been informed as to why PSEA is maintaining its decision to maintain an unqualified educator in post which Involves public fund.
