ENDY JAY
Although it may not attract local attention as something of importance, particularly at this point of time given the woes and knotty issues that have stacked up of late, yet the tension on the Russia/Ukraine border is a real cause for concern however much it may, to most of us, appear an alien affair occurring on the other side of the planet.
Just like most others, I would have also kept aloof of all this agitation in Eastern Europe, sending some Western leaders even to become hysterical, had it not been for another opportunity to convince Bible prophecies are infallible, and to underscore this din of arms signals the proximity of something of unprecedented nature to happen I have oftentimes raised in previous notes, the ‘Great Tribulation‘ foretold by Jesus Christ. This time, unlike other prophecies occurring in our times and perhaps not that much striking to attract world attention, the entire planet will have to realize something no one ever thought possible to happen is in the making. All the ingredients for this to happen are already in place and concur with Bible chronology.
I have often written on forerunner signs and omens – however much brushed aside -, but this time what is unfolding in Eastern Europe, in the opinion of leading political and military leaders alike, observers/commentators, that massive build-up of military forces, with modern and lethal weaponry, make an all-out clash between Russia and the Western powers (NATO) more than a possibility, indeed a certitude, in other words World War III, at least from a human standpoint.
In that flood of comments and predictions surrounding these military build-ups on both sides of the Russia/Ukraine border, however lopsided the comparison, one easily gets lost, indeed submerged – Internet surfers can confirm –, so contradictory the predictions that Russia is about to launch a full-scale invasion, Biden and Blinken (U.S. Secretary of State) among the most vocal this invasion is imminent – how imminent is imminent since they have been howling the same warning for days on end –, while Russia has consistently maintained it has no intention of invasion, albeit having surrounded Ukraine on three sides with massive military troops with a frightening array of conventional and modern lethal weaponry.
But the purpose of this note is not to indulge in that cacophony of comments and predictions, for which I am nevertheless not qualified, to exacerbate the confusion in the mind of anyone who feels interest in what is going on out there in Eastern Europe. But to invite attention that what is taking place on that hot border is accomplishing a Bible prophecy penned by the prophet Daniel in the Bible book bearing his name, an Israelite living in exile in Babylon some six centuries B.C. According to that prophecy, Putin, albeit unwittingly, is playing the role of King of the North in the last act of a long prophecy starting with the successors of Alexander the Great (!), a fairly complicated one staging conflicts between a King of the North and a King of the South, so named from a geographical standpoint, roles played by different entities throughout history down to our times and invariably in conflict. To simplify it for the reader, let us refer to something nearer to us but that still relates to that prophecy. During the two World Wars, Germany was in the role of the King of the North, and the Anglo-American alliance King of the South. (It might surprise that way back then the defeat of Germany was predicted). Today, the Anglo-American power is still in the role of King of the South, while Russia now plays as King of the North.
But as of now what to expect as the drums of World War III beat louder. The Bible does not specify in detail what this last King of the North will undertake, certainly not to cower under the threats of ‘massive sanctions’ brandished by the West after a bitter stand-off lasting weeks and order the massive troops massed on the border ‘back to barracks’. It is unimaginable that Putin may back out of this stand-off pants down. Putin will definitely undertake something that will attract global attention, indeed reactions, but short of anything that would result in a direct confrontation with NATO. That prophecy of Daniel explicitly states that in the ‘final days’ the King of the North does not confront the King of the South. So no WWIII. Here, nevertheless, no cause to rejoice, because worse is coming!
When the King of the North undertakes this last act, he will behave in a very ferocious manner causing sufferings to many and in the process unleashing the ‘Great Tribulation’ in stunning plot twists when the Creator starts pulling the strings to remind He alone may, authoritatively, say ‘My decision will stand’ (Isaiah 46:10). While he provokes the ‘Big Guns’ of the planet towards the Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 16:16) for total annihilation, that battle to make all human wars appear as mere strolls in the park when the powers of the heavens will be shaken, that battle to end all wars. Hard to believe this one?
It may appear presumptuous to the reader to contradict the political overlords of the planet some of whom believe Putin is merely blustering/bluffing. But be that as it may, humanity is on its way to meet its Creator, who never bluffs, in an unprecedented manner to result in a stunning watershed!!!
Attendons voir!
P.S: It may interest the reader to know how the Bible qualifies prophecies: ‘For prophecy was at no time brought by man’s will, but men spoke from God as they were moved (borne along) by holy spirit.’ (II Peter chapter 1, verse 21).
