Maiden Cup 2019 : « Un partenariat Mammouth » pour une course mythique

Courts Mammouth sera le sponsor de la Maiden Cup 2019. Une course qui aura lieu lors de la journée dominicale du 1er septembre. Un partenariat dans la durée est aussi dans le viseur du Mauritius Turf Club ainsi que celui de Courts.

Lors d’une conférence de presse tenue dans les locaux de Courts à Bell Village vendredi, le CEO de ce consortium, Richard Coe, a annoncé officiellement ce partenariat. « We are proud to associate to the oldest racing event in the southern hemisphere. An event which, since 1843, has created passion and has a rich history, embedded with speed of horses, athleticism of jockeys, training, competition, expertise, all culturally and socially unifying. »

Dans la foulée, Richard Coe a informé que toutes les succursales de Courts vont mettre en valeur la Maiden Cup sous peu, avec la riche histoire en relief. « On the day of Courts Mammouth Maiden Cup, we will arrange for musical performances, distributions of gifts, kids corners, and other surprises. I thus invite all our customers and staff to the Champ de Mars on September the first. »

Auparavant, Kamal Taposeea, président du MTC, a expliqué être présence de « a mammoth cooperation, for the most popular sports event in Mauritius. I am confident that the Courts Mammouth Maiden Cup will recall the flavor of the old style. » Il a aussi informé que les stakes money seront de l’ordre d’un total de Rs 2M. Ashok Sonah, directeur de Courts, a abordé la façon dont Courts a aidé à améliorer la vie des Mauriciens depuis sa création. Il se dit « honoré que Courts et le MTC s’associent pour un événement spectaculaire qui suscite tant de passion ».

Le CEO du MTC, Mike Rishworth, a expliqué comment Courts est venue s’associer à la Maiden Cup. « When we were informed by our habitual sponsor, Air Mauritius, of the non-sponsorship. We were stunned, but after consultation, it took us two days to come on an agreement. This Courts Mammouth Maiden Cup will be my very first as CEO. It will be a bit different, with lots and lots of yellow and blue covering the Champ de Mars. This race that stops the nation is older than the Wimbledon, the American Cup and the British Open Golf Tournament ! »
