Le Premier ministre, Pravind Jugnauth, a adressé dès lundi un message de félicitations à Liz Truss après son élection comme leader du Parti Conservateur britannique. Elle a pris officiellement ses fonctions de Première ministre britannique après avoir été reçue par la reine Elizabeth II, hier.

Dans son message, Pravind Jugnauth félicite Liz Truss « who will now lead the United Kingdom ». « Looking forward to work with her to strengthen our historical ties and promote international cooperation for peace and development », a-t-il ajouté
Il pourrait rencontrer son homologue britannique prochainement en marge de l’assemblée générale des Nations unies. Il quitte le pays pour New York dans le courant de la semaine prochaine.
