« This association note with concern that the Mauritius Fire and Rescue Services has issued a list of mass transfer to take effect from 1st april 2015 affecting many members of the Mauritius Fire and Rescue Services without prior consultation with the trade union, which is the sole bargaining agent for the concerned grades, thereby flouting paragraph 5 of the minutes of a meeting held on 26 september 2014 before the Conciliation Service (Ref 439) », écrit-il.
Radakrishna Sadien a ainsi rappelé que ces minutes of meeting faisaient comprendre que « the chairperson reiterated that management should reconsider its position of consulting the unions for the sake of transparency and that at least one member from each union should be a member of the Transfert Committee ». « In the light of the above, we would highly appreciate if you could request the Mauritius Fire and Rescue Services to stay action as regards the implementation of the transfer and convene the transfer committee to hold discussions on the matter since this transfer is posing a lot of frustation to those concerned ».
